FMS#230 & Mojo Monday #442

Hi everyone!!!!

I had a very busy week last week, but tomorrow the boys are back at school so I will hopefully have more time to spend at the computer and at my craft table!!!!!  I did have a spare hour or two last week to make a card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and this morning I made a card for contest week over at the Mojo Monday Blog!!!!!

The card for FMS:

The piece of patterned paper is from Kaisercraft and I've got a vellum overlay.
Gerbera die from MFT.  Leaves stamp and die from PTI.
I love my new glitter paper!!!

And the Mojo Monday card:

Patterned papers from MME and Fabscraps.
Gerbera and flourish dies from MFT.
Chevrons cut with Tim Holtz die.

I finished the throw I was knitting, over the weekend!!!!  I will share some photo's as soon as I have done all the tassels!!!!  I am also busy with a photography course for manual photography and I will share some of those photo's too!!!!

The next episode of Survivor, Blood vs Water will be starting in an hours' time and we will be watching that - we are Survivor fans!!!!

Till next time!!!

  5. Two beauties, Petra! Clean, crisp, and full of interest. Love the blooms you've used on both of them, and the black really draws the eye into your design. I think you've got a couple of winners here. Absolutely striking. Love these!! Can't wait to see the photos of your throw. My mother, bless her heart, gave up on teaching me how to knit; I just couldn't get the hang of it, lol! So I'll admire your talent! Bev

  10. Welcome back Petra my dear friend! I missed you! You really do like to keep busy, don't you? Photography now too (I used to do a lot of photography back in the days of 35mm film, I've even photographed weddings), now all those thousands of pounds worth of camera gear is worth nothing - thanks to digital, nobody wants it - very sad when that happens . . . but I digress! fabulous cards as ever from you my friend!! I love your talent for CAS layering!! Have a wonderful week and I can't wait to see your photographs! Hazel xx

  23. Two more great sketch interpretations Petra. Those pretty Gerberas look wonderful on both and the use of the twine on the first and that lovely flourish on the second, and some interesting patterned papers. I also love that vellum and the glitter paper too, and your enamel dots always look so elegant. x

  28. So beautiful in each card, and love the way you've changed up the design, keeping to the similar shades of colors. Like the swirling leaves on #1, and especially the way you've used the vellum. The diagonal shape of the 'tiles' 'in the die embellie works to add even more interest & texture. You have multiple layers on each pretty card, yet still convey such a feeling of airiness & light. TFS & Hugs
