RS#105

Hi everyone.

Here to post my card for the current sketch over at the Retrosketches Blog.

Here's my card:

The small pieces of patterned papers are from the 'Engraver' collection by Prima.  The arrow stamp is from the 'Borderline' set by Verve.  My sentiment is in Afrikaans and says 'Congratulations'.
The cogs were cut with dies from a 'X-cut' set by docrafts.  I heat-embosses the cogs with clear embossing powder and then put little bits of embossing paste on it and heat-embossed with gold embossing powder.  A button with a twine bow and black rhinestones complete the card.

The sketch:

That will be all for now!
Kind regards and enjoy your day!

Mojo Monday #336

Hi everyone.

A new sketch over at the Mojo Monday Blog.  This week it's a lovely sketch by Debbie to work with:

Here's my card:

The dp I've used is by Glitz from the 'Cashmere Dame' collection and I've used black and cream cardstock to go with it.
The stamps I've used are leaves from the 'Bloom & Grow' set by Verve and I've used the coordinating die by Verve to cut it.  The daisy stamp is also by Verve (VS-09-PJ16) and I've fussy cut it.  The sentiment is in Afrikaans and it says 'Congratulations'.
Die 'Pennant Trim ' die is also by Verve and the circle die is a Spellbinders Nestie.
Added a doiley and some black rhinestones and it was done.

Here's Debbie's sketch:

Before I go I want to share the following photo with you.  After I have taken it I saw that I have caught a bird in flight on it!!

OK, that's it for now!!  Hope you're having a great start to your week!!

Thanks for popping in (... and I love comments!!)
Kind regards
Petra

DS#141

Hi everyone.

Lovely cool Saturday afternoon here!

I'm posting my card for the Deconstructed Sketch challenge over on Jen Schults' blog.  I really like Jen's sketches and this is one I will surely use again in future.
My card:

and this is Jen's lovely sketch:

I have used designer pages by Marion Smith, from the 'Nirvana' and 'Garment District' collections and a small piece from the 'Hunt & Gather' collection by KaiserCraft.  The circle frame and sentiment stamps are from a local craft shop, Great Impressions, and the arrowhead stamp is part of the 'Borderline' set by Verve.  Added a piece of washi tape and some black rhinestones and it was done.
The circles were cut with Spellbinders nesties.

I had a feathered friend, a Fork-tailed drongo, visiting again, but he was so upset with our Siamese which was with me, he only made a terrible noise and took off!   I managed to get a few photo's of it:

Hope you are having a lovely weekend and thanks for popping in!!
Regards
Petra

CTS#67

Hi everyone.

Quick post before I have to fetch my son from chess class.
The card I've made is for the current sketch challenge over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Blog.
This is my card:

and the sketch:

For my card I've stamped the star from My Mind's Eye (Item #LL1005) with black staz-on on white cardstock.  I heat-embossed the star with silver embossing powder on black cardstock and cut it out.  I heat-embossed it again with silver embossing powder on white cardstock and cut out the middle part.  I adhered the cut-out white star to the black one and adhered that overlapping the staz-on star.
Computer generated the sentiment, layered on black cardstock and adhered with foam tape overlapping the stars.  Added some silver rhinestones and adhered my panel with foam tape onto my card front.  Quick and easy and I must say I like how it turned out!

Have to be off!!
Thanks for popping in (...and I love your comments!!)
Regards
Petra

CTS & ATCAS

Hi everyone.

Today I have a card that I want to enter for the challenges over at the CAS(E) THIS SKETCH Blog and the Addicted To CAS Blog.

The codeword at ATCAS is 'Baby' and this is the card I have made:

This is the sketch:

I love this stamp of the vintage pram and the sweet sentiment that goes with it.  I got it for half price at a local craft shop long ago and it is called 'itty bitty' and it's by Unity Stamp.
The lines at the bottom I've stamped with a stamp that is part of the 'Borderline' set by Verve.
I've added a safety pin to finish off my card.

Thanks for popping in!  Have a great day!!

Kind regards
Petra
