SOUS sketch

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog!

I have been wanting to start a blog for sharing my cards with all cardmakers out there, but I just never got to the point of finishing everything off and being able to link to the web.  So, yes, this is the start to something totally new to me - be warned - I have a lot to learn, so please bear with me!

My first upload is for a card that I have created using the current SOUS sketch.  You can find the sketch here:

and this is what I have created:

I had such a lot of fun creating this card, as I got some distress crackle paint for the first time and I just had to try it out!  I've coated the flowers, leaves, die-cut circle and fishtail-banner with cracle paint and I just love how it turned out.  I must admit that I did not manage to get a lot of cracks, but I love how the edges of the painted elements curl up and give a lovely 3D-effect.  I have also, for the first time, added some tulle to a card.  I took a close-up photo to try and show some more detail of the flowers and tulle:

and here is another photo:

Unfortunatally today was a very overcast day, so I had trouble to take good photo's as the natural light was not very good, but hopefully you could get a good idea of what my card looks like.  I must admit that I like this card very much!

The supplies I've used:
Patterned Paper:  Glitz:  French Kiss labels FK3623 and French Kiss Fleur FK3630
Stamps:  Verve (Bloom & Grow set, VS-09-PJ016).  sentiment:  KaiserCraft (CS917)
Ink: Versafine onyx black
Paper doiley, tulle, pearls.

So, that's it for my first published blogpost!

Thanks for the visit, and I would love you to leave a comment!

Petra.
