Another CTS#106

Hi everyone!!

I'm back with another card I've made for the sketch challenge over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.

Here's the sketch again:

and my second take on it:

I've played with black watercolour paint and a spraybottle and drywall tape to do the grey and black parts of the bg.  When dry,  I taped some typing paper strips onto my watercoloured panel and done some sponging with DIs.   Removed the paper strips and I had a bg that I liked!!!
Leaf stamp and die from PTI  Heat embossed on vellum.
Used my Tim Holt alphabet die for the sentiment which was done with 5 layers of cs.  Given it some shine with Clear 3D Gloss.
Two plastic dots added and that was it!!!

Ok, I'm off - nearly bedtime here!!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Keep well!!!
Kind regards
Petra

  6. Awesome look with the drywall technique, then the paper taping to add the other colors. Like this so much. The leaf flourish was just the right embellie to draw the eye to that fab border. The bold sentiment was too cute for words with the rest of the card design. Well done! Happy Wkend, and TFS

This card is outstanding!! your stenciling is out of this world!! with the (I think) water colored (again) black flower is so perfect and also very playful with the sentiment... I saw this sketch when it came out but just couldn't visualize what I would do... I guess it took genius to figure it out!! great job!!
