Time Out 3rd Birthday

Hi, everyone!!!!



I made a card last night to link at the Time Out Challenge Blog where they have a 3rd birthday party going!!!!   They've got a lot of prizes to give away!!!!!  The theme for the chalenge is:    




Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of 'spotlight stamping' where you add colour only to one raised area of your image




This is the card I've made:




Had lots of fun with my new colouring pencils!!!!!
Vellum overlays for a softer look.
Stamps from Altenew.
Not sure if this will go through as spotlighting as my coloured panel is not raised and I added some neutral colours to the other flowers, but I did follow the Friendship theme.

    You have done a fabulous job of spotlighting my dear friend! Love how you have stamped the image all over the background as well and softened it with the vellum like that (I wish I had thought of that with my teal card you commented on today - thank you for popping by again, I love seeing your wonderful comments).     Wat een goed idee met dat vellum. Maakt het inderdaad wat zachter. De stempels zijn ook heel mooi! Ik heb er nog geen van, maar denk erover om bloemenstempels van Altenew te bestellen......

    Very pretty Petra. The spotlight coloring looks perfect even without being raised up. The vellum overlay is nice. I also love the black angled strip with the greeting.

    I love the 'spotlight' technique! Your colored images are beautiful and perfectly blended! Great call with the velum overlay - creates a beautiful soft finish.

    Gorgeous! Your colored area may not actually "be" dimensional, but the way you've done the coloring certainly gives it great depth. I love the diagonal placement as I've only ever seen this technique done with corner details. Wonderful pencil coloring, the vellum looks perfect with this one and it's a grand card all round!     Wow, Petra, this is beautiful! Your new pencils work very well! I like how you did brighter colours on the strip, so pretty! Spotlighting is a technique I usually don't like but you've made me change my mind - this looks amazing!
