S.O.U.S Little things

Hi everyone.

I have played along with the card sketch on the StuckOnUSketches blog again this week.  I love the sketch by Sandi Clarkson.  Here it is:

My card looks like this:

and here is another photo and a close-up of the stamped image and sentiment:

I just love this vintage pram and the sweet little sentiment that goes with it!  It is the itty bitty set by unity and simple stories.  My background panel is build up of 2 panels as in the sketch, but in the photo's it does not stand out very clearly.  I have used the front and back of a dp by MME and with the shading that I've done with distress ink, the two panels look like one in the photos.  IRL one can see that there are in fact two panels.

All the supplies that I've used are the following:

Paper:  MME (the sweetest thing, #ST1075, #ST1081)
Ink:  Versafine onyx black
Ranger distress ink (Antique linen, Walnut stain)
Stamps: Itty bitty set by unity and simple stories
Satin Ribbon
Pearls

This is the first time I have used this stamp set and I had a lot of fun creating this card!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy crafting

SOUS Nov 7 2012

Hi everyone!

I can not believe that a whole month has gone by since I've done my first blogpost!  I have been very busy making cards for a local craftshop;  there was just no time to spend doing cards for sketch challenges!   I have decided to put everything else aside for a day or two, to catch up with what I've missed out on during October.

I was so excited when I discovered on Sunday that my card for September was chosen as one of the top 3!!  What a lovely surprise it was!!  I feel very honoured!! -  thank you very much  ( I will have to find out how to add my badge to my blog!!)

The first card I've done is the one for the current layout sketch at SOUS.  You can find the sketch here:   http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/.  (I've tried to copy the sketch here, but it does not want to work - must be doing something wrong!!)

This is the card I've created:

You will see that the background paper has a printed frame which was perfect to use with this sketch - I just had to add the sentiment panel to fit the sketch.  I love adding twine bows to my cards - whenever I can fit one onto a card, I will!!

The supplies I've used:
Paper:  Prima Marketing Inc (#844981), graphic45 (#4500450)
Stamps:  Leaves:  Great Impressions,
               Flowers:  Verve (Joyful Blooms)
               Sentiment:  Verve (VS-10-PJ034)
Dies:  Verve (Joyful Blooms)
Ink:  Versfine onyx black,  Ranger distress ink (Walnut stain)
Buttons, twine, satin ribbon.

The sketch for 17 Oct was the following:

(Wow, this time it worked!!)

and I have made this card:

Supplies for this card:
Paper:  Prima Marketing Inc. (#950071), graphic45 (#4500450)
Stamps:  Flowers and leaves:  Great Impressions
               Sentiment:  Verve (Wishing You)
Dies:  Spellbinders nestabilities
Ink:  Ranger distress ink (Walnut stain, Bundled sage)
Satin ribbon, pearls.

And finally, the sketch for 3 Oct:

(again, doesn't wanna work!!  Hope you can remember what the sketch looked like!!  What am I doing wrong??)

Anyway, here's my card:

Supplies I've used:
Paper:  Prima Marketing Inc. (#950071), graphic45 (#4500450)
Stamps:  Flowers and leaves:  Great Impressions
               Sentiment:  Verve (VSPJ-0077)
Ink:  Ranger distress ink (Walnut stain, Bundled sage)
Dies:  Spellbinders nestabilities.
Satin ribbon, pearls.

Can't wait to see what the next sketch looks like - will make sure that I find the time to play along before cut-off time!!

Hope you like my cards and thanks for stopping by!!

Till next time
Petra
