The Paper Players #255 and Casology#157

Hi everyone!!!

Not much time left to join the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players Blog.
This is the sketch:

and this is the card I've made to link at the challenge:

The grid stamp is part of a set of small stamps from Studio G.  My friend, Mynn Kitchen was so sweet to sent me the set together with some other lovely goodies!!!!
Flower stamp from a local Craft shop, Great Impresssions.
Flourish die from MFT.  Sentiment banner dies from Verve.
Some sequins and black plastic dots round it off.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

I've also made a card to link at the CASology Blog where the cue word for the week is 'Wings'.

 This is my card:

The chipboard butterfly is from Enmarc.  I've coloured it using koki pens and water and given it some shine with Clear 3D Gloss.
Sentiment banner dies from Verve.
Three plastic dots finish it off.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

That will be all from me for the evening!!!   Thank you so much for spending some time with me - your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!

Have a great start to your weekend!!!!

Hello Petra!
First I want to thank you again for all your kind comments on my cards.. It really means a lot to me and just didn't want it to go unnoticed. Also, lets talk about your cards!! Your take on the CAS(E) this Sketch is so wonderful.. I wish I had better adjectives but seriously just delightful.. It is full of movement and there is your hallmark black which you deal with so delicately. The vellum tag is allows the rest of the elements to stand on their own! Just divine.. And lets talk about your view!! It looks like you live in a beautiful part of the world. Surfing blogs tonight see you soon..
Take care,
Shawna

Card number one = Winner. Period. Hands down. It's brilliant, really and truly. LOVE the vellum over the black tag; gives a nice soft look to the black and makes those flowers shine. Absolutely gorgeous card. Card number two = Winner. It's CAS perfection and makes my heart happy. Fantastic butterfly, and the placement of your enamel dots has a beautiful linear look. Great cards!! Have a wonderful weekend. Bev

Great take on that sketch Petra my dear friend! Your layering skills leave me speechless . . . I'm rubbish at layering, mine always resembles my waste bin . . . full of rubbish!! You will have to teach me someday, but I suspect, it's a skill that can't be learned - you either have it, or you don't - with me it's the latter, with you, the first!! Anyway my friend, have a lovely, lovely weekend! Hazel xx

Pragtige kaartjies Petra! Die skoenlapper is so besonders. Die kaartjie met die "tag" is so CAS maar het tog so baie mooi elemente om na te kyk.

Beautiful cards Petra. Love the sweet flowers on the layered tag on the first one... those circles add so much to your card. The butterfly is gorgeous on the second. The 3D look is perfect with the clear top.

More great takes on sketches. Am loving #1's vellum tag treatment with the gold & black circle frames. I like the way you use these as mats - and also the grid border. Very nice use of pretty elements. #2's gorgeous butterfly is just as beautiful. The black treatment behind those wonderful colors really shows them off. TFS & Hugs

Two gorgeous cards, Petra. Really love that first one. You have this amazing ability to put together a collage of elements on a card that all always work so well together, but are not overwhelming. Every time I glance back at this card, I find something new to admire that I missed the first time. And, it is wonderful to see you at CASology with your gorgeous butterfly. I love how you have colored the wings, and the little hearts on the ends of the antennae are priceless. Hope you had a nice weekend.

Here I am again just congratulating you on a job so well done.. A well deserved win!! So crisp and clean and there is your hallmark the color black so well done and tasteful Petra. Black is a very strong 'color' and can be overwhelming but not you you used it so artfully and this card is no exception! Excellent job for an excellent person!!
Your crafty friend,
Shawna

Sorry...I'm a bit late with commenting but we had a weekend full of volunteering at our local festival and 4 late nights in a row!

Card #1 - stunning! Everything is perfect! The bit of grid at the left side anchors the tag & flowers perfectly! Love the velum overlay and love the circles. Actually, I love every little detail on this card!

Card #2 - Stunning simplicity! Awesome 'movement' with the enamel dots above & below the butterfly! Love the tall, skinny panel too!
