Another FMS#224

Hi everyone!!!

I've made another card to link at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog!!!

This is my second take on the sketch:

 Stamps from Altenew.
'Hallo' die from MFT.

Friends of ours' daughter is studying nature conservation at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University here in George and she has to do an assignment on scorpions.  We went hiking and scorpion hunting with her this morning and I took the opportunity to take some photo's!!!!

Petra!! Who goes Scorpion hunting while bare-footed?!?! I had hoped, while scanning your photos NOT to see one ... but there he is!! Yikes, how scary he looks - I've not seen a black one.
Gorgeous photos, gorgeous card, and no mishaps I'm hoping... thanks for sharing your fun day!

Hi there Petra , because I have to choose ( I cant help it) i just love that second card with the raised sentiment which contrasts so beautifully. I hope you have had more rain than us our area looks so dry . Love those nature pics , don't we live in a beautiful part of the country.?

So fabulous your woodsey photos -- NOT so much your [ewwwww] black scorpion. I'd have a heart attack with one that big! :) You all grow large insects there for sure!

Such a pretty card Petra. Those lavender flowers are lovely. The die-cut word looks really nice. The scallop border adds an elegant touch to your card. Fantastic pictures! That area looks beautiful... minus the scorpion!

Beautiful card design, Petra - I especially enjoyed the hiking photos! It's great seeing the terrain and flowers! I've never seen a black scorpion before (is that what it is? Looks huge!) Our scorpions are relatively small, and are a light brown in color. (they still hurt tho! LOL)

hugs,

Hoi Petra,
wat een mooie kaart heb je gemaakt! Prachtig met de paarse bloemen. Ook je foto's van de wandeling zijn gaaf. Zo'n mooie omgeving waar je woont! En die schorpioen...brr...ben er wel bang voor hoor!
Lieve groeten,
GerJanne

Love this beautiful (and rather different in design) card from you. Just shows how versatile your skills are! No graphic shapes, but still gorgeous. Love the pretty flowers with the bold die sentiment, and bringing in more of the floral colors with the sweet borders. Enjoyed seeing your photos - except for {yuck} that monster at the end. Glad we don't have that kind here. We do have scorpions in Fla. but they aren't that scary! Bet this guy packs an awful sting. Lovely countryside to enjoy - I bet very carefully! Have a super week. TFS

Beautifully done, Petra! Love the the colors and the layered offset "hello!" The scenic pictures are amazing. The scorpion one is frightening....oh, dear! Your daughter's friend should definitely make an "A!" LOL!

LOVE both of our FMS cards (and your hiking pictures except maybe the scorpion!) I love your color scheme and how you've used the flowers behind the "hello". Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

FABULOUS card and beautiful photos! You have given us all a 'snapshot' of your world! I love the little black frog....so different from what we see here in Manitoba! Searching for scorpions - YIKES!!!

Your card is stunning! I love the images and the pretty offset sentiment! We have wild morning glories here that are identical to your card!

GREAT photos!

This is one of my favourite colour combos! Your card is so cute and and I love how you layered the sentiment die-cuts! I like the scalloped detail too! I was fascinated by your photos - especially the scorpion! I would have been running away! We don't have them around here but I would be terrified!
