FMS#242

Hi everyone!!!!

Had a very busy weekend!!!!  Schools have closed on Friday for the winter holidays and the boys had to get ready for different adventures!!!!  The eldest left early on Sunday morning to attend a science youth week up north and we had to be at the airport very early!!!  Younger brother had to get everything ready to leave this morning with a friend of ours, to help him on his farm during the holiday!!!!  And a very good friend of mine, from Cape Town, also arrived in George yesterday and we have spent a lot of time together catching up with all the news!!!!   I also have an order for cards, from the florist/gift shop in town who sells my cards, so I had to spend some time crafting, too!!!  Have got most of the cards ready by now, to deliver tomorrow morning!!!

One of the cards I made I will link at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog, as I have used this week's sketch!!!

This is my card:

Butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft.
Leaf stamp from Altenew.
Bg stamp from Glitz.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

We had a very cold day, today - first time I've turned on the heater this winter, to make it cozy at my craft table!!!!  Enjoyed playing with my goodies!!!

Lovely having you pop in!!!!  Your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!!

Wauw, heel mooi Petra. Mooie kleuren en mooi design. Een plaatje om van te genieten. Hier in Nederland is het zomer maar het regent héél veel. Het is sinds 1838 niet zo nat geweest als nu. Niet fijn maar wel lekker weer om te knutselen ^-^
Lieve groetjes Miranda

Beautiful, Petra! Such a wonderful design with your butterfly representing Nature, flying through the smallest geometric forms. So gorgeous. Try to stay warm. Wish I could send some of our tropical heat your way! Love, de

Gorgeous, sparkly, messy - everything I love in a card! You've really let this design shine! I'm sorry I've been such a bad bloggy friend of late, the month of June snuck away from me somehow, but I'm working to fix it!

I love all the angles and dimension you've created with this beautiful card, Petra, and how it flows as if the butterfly is dropping sequins as she flies!! Enjoy your time without the boys as they go off on their adventures!! Hugs, Darnell

Your designs are always amazing...how much depth you create with the shapes, and minimal coloring. This pretty one is a prime example..with the trio of hexagon frames over the 'butterfly path', and that lovely creature resting atop the set of shapes. So very pretty. Glad that you have an outlet for your cards, and enjoy some crafting time with your friend. TFS and thanks for the birthday wishes. Hugs
