Chalkboard cards and AAA card challenge

Hi everyone.

Second post for the day!
This time I'm taking part in the challenge on the new AAA cards Blog.

This is the card I'm entering into the challenge:

I heat-embossed my sentiment in white and used a Dew Drop Brilliance Platinum Planet inkpad to do the chalkboard effect.  In the photo it looks much whiter than IRL.  Tried to photograph it looking better, but it kept on shining very white, so I had to settle for these photo's.
Matted my chalkboard on a craft base and adhered to the card front on pop dots.  Daisies cut with the 'Flower Trio & Leaf Trio' dies from MFT.   Leaf stamp and die, as well as the 'Pennant Trim' die, from Verve.
Added my usual black rhinestones to round it off.
Afrikaans sentiment saying:  'Thank you very much'

I had so much fun making my card for the challenge I made two more chalkboard cards:

Flower stamp and die from the 'Joyful Blooms' set by Verve.  Used two bg stamps from Glitz on my chalkboard.  Added some silver rhinestones for a finishing touch.
Again my chalkboard looks terribly white in the photo.

And my third card:

Used a piece of dp by SimpleStories as a bg.  Leaf stamp from a local craft shop.  Painted my leafs with crackle paint for a interesting finish.    Added a twine bow and black rhinestones to finish it off.

I'm going to keep these cards till the end of the school year in December to give to the kids' teachers.

Thanks for spending time visiting me.  I always appreciate your visits and comments.

Have a lovely day and hope to see you again soon!

Kind regards.
Petra

Wow, you rock this technique, Petra ... these are all fabulous! I've never made a successful chalkboard card (lots of unsuccessful ones have hit the paper bin!) ... but am still trying! Thanks for the inspiration! Anita :)

Some stunners here, Petra. I love the way you've achieved the chalkboard look with the Platinum ink pad. I've seen that used before but never thought about working it into the chalkboard look. Your cards are each one so very special, and I'm loving the look you got and all the pretty trims. Thanks for your recent visits too! Hugs

Hi Petra, thanks for all your recent visits & sweet comments. Glad you are back in the card craft again, but it's always good to refresh yourself and do another hobby that you enjoy. You've bounced back with a set of absolutely stunning chalkboard cards. Each one is a beauty, and your design eye is impeccable. The flowers & trims on each one is just perfect with that particular card. I'm always amazed at the beautiful view in the background..how lucky you are to enjoy that scenery each day. Thought your photographs looked just fine...so well done on each card. I really enjoyed seeing each one, and that brilliance technique to create your chalkboard background is wonderful. TFS & many Hugs. Happy Sunday.

'n Pragtige reeks kaartjies.
Mooi bly
