CTS#115 and FMS#177

Hi everyone!!!

Boy, we've got a very hot summer's day here in George, today, but in the mornings and evenings one can definitely feel that it's autumn!!!  Wishing a lovely spring day to all of you who are anxiously waiting for better weather and summer days!!!

Posting two cards today!!
This is the fun sketch over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog

and this is my card:

I've watercoloured the leaves with DIs.  Leaves stamp and die from PTI.
The black strips are on the card base and the white panels are on foam tape.
Added some scorelines.
Sponged the vellum circles with DI.
The wooden bug was a gift from my dear friend, Angela Bode.
Added a rhinestone and two black plastic dots to complete the card.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Thank you very much.'

I've also made a card following the sketch over at the Freshly made Sketches Blog.

My card:

I've done sort of a bokeh effect as bg.
Leaves stamp and die from PTI.  Watercoloured the leaves with DIs.
Sponged the ring and circle with DI.
Sentiment banner dies from Verve.  Border punch from American Crafts.
Added some rhinestones and it was done!!!
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Thank you very much'.

Have to run to fetch the boys from school!!!

Have a great day and thanks for popping in!!!

Both are gorgeous. Love the crisp white with the taupe w/c on #1. I'm really liking the way you use the open frames to design your cards too. #2 is equally lovely and I'm impressed with that bokeh background...something I've yet to try. Very effective with your focal image. Great job on both! TFS & Hugs

Brilliant take on the sketches Petra. Love the circle elements on both. The wood veneer ladybug is so sweet on the first one. Also like the scored frame. The scallop border looks nice behind the circle elements on the second.

Hey Petra! Haven't seen you pop up in my mail these past few days so I stopped by to see what's up! Creative endeavors have obviously been happening! First card - my goodness...if this isn't a winner, then something's amiss!

Your second card - wow - the background is spectacular! I love the muted effect that you achieved! I'm calling this one too - winner, winner!

The way you can take a layout and make it so unique in two different ways is so cool! I really like the chalkboard bokeh effect going on in the second card. We're just heading into spring here in North Dakota, so I hope you're enjoying the heat while it lasts!
