CTS#126 and FMS#189

Hi everyone on a very chilli Monday morning!!!

I had some fun in my craft room yesterday and I've got two cards to share!!
First up is my take on the sketch over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
The sketch:

and my card:

...and some of you have seen this happening before!!   This little guy is a Fiscal Shrike.
Never a dull moment when you photograph your cards outside!!!

I've also made a card for the Feshly made Sketches  Challenge:

                   My card:

For both of these cards I've played with Scattered Straw and Bundled Sage DI's.
I've done some splattering with black watercolour paint.
The flower stamp is from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Afrikaans sentiments saying:' Congratulations', on the CTS card.
Sentiment saying: 'Thank you very much', on the FMS card.

I might be back with a Mojo Monday card later today!!!

Hope you're having a lovely day!!!!  Thanks for popping in!!!!

Jy is so geseën met daai pragtige agtergrond! Die voëls in George het goeie smaak, hulle weet waar om op die mooiste plek te sit!
Pragtige kaartjies Petra! Dankie dat jy jou talent met CTS deel!

How awesome is that! Having a bird land on your card - and getting a photos of it! [Looks like he is posing] -- love the color combo you used on both EXCELLENT cards! Not chilly here -- 101 forecasted for today.

Beautiful cards Petra. Love the water colored background on the first one and the panel on the second. That yellow is a nice shade, looks great with black. The sequins are so pretty. Great take on the sketches. What an amazing moment with the bird! You must have been so quiet and still...

I love both of your takes on this card. That soft background is lovely and just right for the simple flowers. And it's all clearly just perfect as a perch for the bird - fabulous pictures!! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

love, love, love your take on the CTS sketch, Petra... the card is just GORGEOUS (and absolutely the bird thought so too!) the second one is pretty darn amazing, too!!

Yes, I am learning Afrikkans, because I recognized the sentiment on your first card. Yay for international friends. These are both so beautiful. I love the smooshed splatter of the first one, and those sketchy flowers--they are very sweet. Apparently the bird also thought it an inviting perch. And, you totally nailed that FMS--it had me stumped this week. Love how you used the same flowers and color scheme, but a totally different card. I really love that bit of mesh and doily layered underneath.

These are both so pretty, Petra ... the loopy twine bow behind the softly shaded daisy is fabulous on the first one ... and the doily on the second is so delicate and feminine! That shrike has great taste! Hugs, Anita :)

Love your part frame on the first card. A beauty. Congrats on being highlighted on CTS!

...the wee bird sure does know a good thing when he sees it and likely wanted to claim it for his own! Stunning card! The partial frame (?) is soooooooo cool! Love the soft yellow/tan color wash.

Who would have thought that drywall tape and a doily could look so awesome together! The contrast is striking! Perfectly placed bits of bling!

You are soooooooooooo talented!!!

Baie geluk met die erkenning by CTS, dis so wel verdiend. Nou ja wat kan ek se, so 'n parmantige voeltjie, maar dis net bewys dat selfs die natuur mal is oor jou skeppings.
Mooi bly

Okay, how much did you have pay that bird to stand still long enough to get those shots? I swear I am going to end up at your front door someday.. It looks so beautiful over there. Just a wonderful backdrop for that lovely card.. the illusion of a complete rectangle is so well done Petra.. So neutral and full of life at the same time.. Now I am going to hop over to your double tag card and congratulate you on a job perfectly done!
