CTS#136 and CASonSunday#65

Hi everyone!!!!

Two CAS cards to share this morning!!!
I've made a card to link at the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.  This is the sketch:

 and my take on it:

I just love these new flower punches I got at a local stationary shop!!!  It's from docrafts.
Used my Tim Holtz chevron die.
Did my bg with dry wall tape and black watercolour paint.
Added some black plastic dots to finish it off.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

I've also made a card to link at the CAS on Sunday challenge where you are to use vellum on your card.
This is my card:

I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from last week.  I was happily making my card yesterday morning, to link at FMS, too and then I remembered that the FMS challenge closes on a Monday evening!!!  So I was a few hours late to link at FMS!!!  Too bad!!
The piece of patterned paper is from KaiserCraft.  Used my swiss dot EF to dry emboss it.
Flower punches from docrafts.  Flourish die from MFT.  Sentiment banner dies from Verve.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Just for You'.

OK, that's what I've got to share this morning!!!  Thank you so much for popping in - your visits and comments are appreciated soooooo much!!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Hallo Petra,
Groetjes,
GerJanne

WOW! You use your supplies in such creative ways Petra, ways that would never even occur to me - peeks and glimpses of border die cuts, frames, layering flowers in different ways . . . I could go on! I just wish I had your kind of talent my friend! The first card is stunning in it's simplicity and the way you have stamped the greeting nestled in the border like that!! The second one, so very different to look at, again uses the same supplies - the border die and the sweet little flowers!! You have the creative talent to 'think outside the box' that I admire and wish I had! Shame you missed the FMS challenge my dear friend, as I'm sure you would have had another winner on your hands here!! Have a very lovely day! Hazel xx

Jeepers but you have been busy since my last visit! Two beauties, what a pity that you missed the cut off with your second card as it is stunning . It has a sort of blackboard look and the contrasting flowers and swirls are fabulous. Which local craft shop do you use ?

...speaking of striking...your CAS(E) This Sketch! card is AWESOME!!! Definitely totally in love with the wee pop of color - such a nice contrast with the B & W combo.....something that I think my card was missing! The inky background and the placement of your sentiments rockets this card to the top of the podium for sure!!!

Your second card - also amazing! The strip of embossed, patterned paper achors the flowers and sentiment beautifully! Yep...this would card would definitely been in the Winner's Circle over at MFT had the door not closed on it!

Fantastic cards Petra. Love the chevron dies! What a great take on the sketch... again, you did an amazing job... so different and unique... the sweet little layered flower is so pretty... and I love how you followed the chevron shape with your greeting. The touch of green and pink looks wonderful on the second card.

Hi, Petra! It's always a pleasure dropping by to see your distinctive style of combining geometrics with nature. These are fantastic and I especially like the overlapping elements in your second card! Hope all is well!

Two very pretty cards. Love the cool chevrons of the first. And, dry wall tape???? That's a new one for me and it is so cool looking. Love the look of patterned paper embossed--I have never thought of doing that. It gives your paper a completely new look.

There goes that beautiful view again....(sigh..). I would spend all my time daydreaming if that was my view everyday!! Don't you hate it when you miss a challenge by a few hours??!! So frustrating. Both of your cards are fantastic. Love the chevron die, haven't seen that one before. And the little flowers are so sweet. And your vellum card is stunning, love the baby pink with the light blue. And thank you so much for the birthday wishes. I had a fabulous day and was very spoilt by my family. The week has been so busy though, it already feels like my birthday was last month!!

Who, aside from you, knew that drywall tape could be used to create something so incredibly beautiful! Brilliant! You've certainly captured my heart with that first card; the little flower adds such impact! Your second card is another 'falling for,' too! The chalkboard look, paired with more of those darling flowers...oh my! A dynamic duo of delights, indeed!

Two beautiful cards Petra and I love the chevron with the pretty flower and the dry wall tape with watercolour makes a wonderful background. The embossed dots look great on the paper and then more of those pretty and glittery flowers and flourishes are the perfect embellishments. x

I so wanted to join this challenge but just not enough time. This is gorgeous.. the open chevron is so perfect to show off the texture behind it. Your little pop of color with the sparkly flower is just deliciousness on a card. Awesome eye candy.. thank you for sharing your talent with us all.
