This is the card I have made following the sketch:

I've used a piece of dp by Teresa Collins.

Added some scorelines to my diagonal strip.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.
Black plastic dots and a twine bow to finish it off.

And look at the little gecko inspecting my card. (righthand top corner) He was so quick I only caught part of him in the photo.  We've got lots of them here and they are so cute!!!!!

Next up is my card for challenge #101 over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
This is the sketch:

and a card I have made for my husband, following the sketch:

The little anchor stamp is part of a small set of nautical stamps by Prima Marketing.  I have heat embossed the anchor.
I've computer generated the sentiment and printed it on vellum.  The sentiment is in Afrikaans and says:' You are my strong anchor, thank you'.
Added some twine and black plastic dots and it was done.

We are celebrating our 21th anniversary on Thursday and for all of those years my husband  has been my strong anchor and I want to thank him for that on Thursday.   Hope he will like his card!!!!

Hi everyone!!

Another Wednesday means a new challenge over at the Color Throwdown Blog!!
I love this photo - so much to use from it and such lovely colours!!!

This is the card I have made:

I started off by adding the white polka dots to the navy cs.  I 'stamped' circles onto the cs using a fineliner cap (it was the only thing I could find that was exactly the size I wanted!!) and a DewDrop Brilliance ink pad.  I then coloured the 'stamped' circles with a white gel pen and added some 3D Clear Gloss.  When it was dry, I adhered some punched cs circles onto my dots and then covered it with some more 3D Clear Gloss and let it dry.  IRL the dots look quite nice.
The rest was eazy peazy!!!
DP from my stash.
Circles cut with Spellbinders nesties.
Rose and flourish dies from MFT.  Banner dies from Verve.
The sentiment was computer generated.
Added a paper clip and rhinestones and it was done!!!

Hop on over to the Color Throwdown Blog and have a look at the lovely cards the DT has made!!!!
Play along - it's fun!!!!

My blog has been very quiet for the last week or two, as I am busy crocheting and knitting at the moment.  I'm busy knitting baby and toddler sweaters for a charity project and in between I'm also crocheting other items.  I love knitting and crocheting, so at this stage I'm really having fun spending time to do that.  It is such a nice way to do my bit for charity, too!!!  At some stage I will do a post to show you what I've made.  As a result of this I have fallen way behind on blogvisits and comments, but I will be visiting you all shortly!!!!

Thanks so much for your visit - always a pleasure to have you here!!!!

Till next time!!
Keep well!!
Kind regards
Petra
