AAA#31, FMS#168 and NBUS#3

Hi everyone!!!

I'm having such a lot of fun being back in my craft room I made a second card for the day!!!!

This time I'm joining in 3 challenges.
It's been ages since I last played at the AAA cards Challenge Blog and I just had to join in the fun again!!!  The game to play till 10 Jan is to use a little gold!!
I loved the sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog the moment I saw it, so I'm also joining in there.
And then Darnell has a new NBUS challenge running on her fun blog, djkardkreations.com, but more about that later.

I have made this card to link to the 3 challenges:

The small piece of dp I've used is from Teresa Collins and the flower and flourish dies are from MFT.
Used some dry wall tape and black twine and my usual black plastic dots.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

To qualify for Darnell's NBUS challenge I used my new harlequin stamp I bought while in Cape Town during the December holidays.  I was lucky enough to win a lovely kit of gold EPs and glitter in the first McGuyver challenge over at AAA cards, and I have used some of the yummy glitter for the first time on this card.  If you don't know who the sweet Darnell is or you don't know what NBUS is, I suggest you hop over to djkardkreations.com and enjoy what you find there!!!

I really like how this card turned out - just a pity the glitter didn't photograph so nicely - IRL it really looks nice!!!

This card will go to a friend of mine's son and his wife who will be attending a wedding on 16 Jan.  They will give it to the newly wed couple to congratulate them on their special day.

Sorry for the long post - won't keep you any longer!!!!!

Keep well!!
Kind regards
Petra

Mojo Monday #373 & CTS#101

Hi everyone!!!

Here to post my entries for two challenges.  First up is my card for the current sketch challenge over at the Mojo Monday Blog.  It's Tall & Skinny week and this is Julee's sketch:

This is the card I have made following the sketch:

I've used a piece of dp by Teresa Collins.
Daisy stamp by Verve.
Added some scorelines to my diagonal strip.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.
Black plastic dots and a twine bow to finish it off.

And look at the little gecko inspecting my card. (righthand top corner) He was so quick I only caught part of him in the photo.  We've got lots of them here and they are so cute!!!!!

Next up is my card for challenge #101 over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
This is the sketch:

and a card I have made for my husband, following the sketch:

The little anchor stamp is part of a small set of nautical stamps by Prima Marketing.  I have heat embossed the anchor.
I've computer generated the sentiment and printed it on vellum.  The sentiment is in Afrikaans and says:' You are my strong anchor, thank you'.
Added some twine and black plastic dots and it was done.

We are celebrating our 21th anniversary on Thursday and for all of those years my husband  has been my strong anchor and I want to thank him for that on Thursday.   Hope he will like his card!!!!

Thank you so much for popping and have a great start to your week!!!!

Keep well!!
Kind regards
Petra
