JUGS # 181

Hi everyone.

... made it in time to finish my card for the JUGS#181 challenge!  With the schools closing down for the autumn break this morning and the coming easter weekend I was running around most of the time to try and keep everyone happy. (Mom's taxi was very busy!).  Finally I have some time now to do this post.

Here's the inspiration photo from JUGS:

I love these yummy colors ... reminds me of my favourite frozen yoghurts!!

I made this card:

and another photo:

The lovely flowers and the sentiment stamps are from the 'Lean on Me' set by Verve and the matching dies for the flowers is from the 'A CUT above Dies' collection from Verve.
The border punch I've used is from Upikit.

... not much more to say about this card ... hope you like it!

Thanks for the visit and have a very blessed Easter weekend.

S.O.U.S for you

Hi everyone.

I've done a card for the Stuck on U Sketches again.  The sketch looks like this:

... and yes, I've worked with my KaiserCraft Lavendar Haze Collection of papers again and created this card:

The colors are very soft and I love the hint of lilac.
The dies I've used are the Reverse Wonky Rectangles nestabilities by Spellbinders and the Leafy Flourish from the MFT Die-namics range.
The sentiment stamp is from the You and I set by Verve (vs-0160).
The sweet little flowers are from Prima Marketing (#55682, #557348).  I've added a lilac organza bow to my flower arrangement and rounded my card off with three pearls.

I love how this card turned out!  Hope you like it too!

Thanks for the visit and have a great day!!

VLVMar2013 Week 4

Hi everyone.

My card for the final week of the VLVMar2013 challenge at the SCS forum.  The sketch for week 4 looks like this:

My card:

I'm still busy with the KaiserCraft Lavendar Haze Collection papers!  My husband has put me on a tight budget so I can't just buy as many sheets of paper as I used to in the past - I have to finish what I've got before I'm allowed to shop again!!   (Be warned, I've still got some of this paper left so you'll see it again, here!  Hope you like it as much as I do!)

I've shaded the edges of my sentiment panel slightly with Stormy Sky and Black Soot distress inks from Ranger.  The sentiment stamp is by Verve (VS-10-PJ084).  The dies I've used is part of the Labels One Small Nestabilities by Spellbinders as well as the Prima Donna Petals and the Fancy Flourish of the Die-namics range by MFT.

I've rounded my card off with a pearl and some rhinestones.

I'll be back later with another card I've made this morning.

Thanks for the visit and I would love you to leave a comment.

Happy crafting!

CAS(E) this Sketch #20

Hi everyone.

Last night I unpacked my whole box of stamps to see what I've got to use for the sketch over at    CAS(E) this Sketch #20.  This is the sketch:

I discovered a lot of stamps I have forgotten about!   I came across this little guy and I thought he would be perfect for this sketch.  Just look at him:

I think he is sooooo cute and cheerful!  I got him as part of a set that came as a free gift with a magazine I bought ages ago.   Here's another photo:

The sentiment is part of the You and I set by Verve.  The 'U' is part of the A CUT above Dies by Verve.
I've added three rhinestones at the top to round off my card.

Hope you like my little hedgehog!

Thanks for the visit and have a great day!

MFTWSC116 Birthday wishes

Hi everyone.

Can't believe it's Monday again!!  But it's the last Monday for this term!!  Schools are closing down for the first break of the year on Thursday, so next week I can get up a bit later in the mornings and I love that!  I have to admid - I love staying in bed till .... (no, I won't tell you. LOL!!).  Specially now that our weather is getting a bit cooler and one can feel autumn is here, there is no bigger treat than spending time sleeping till the sun is high up in the sky!    That's something a mum doesn't have the priveledge to do often, hey!

Well, let's go back to cards, now.  I've done a card for the MFTWSC116 challenge.  Here is the sketch for the week:

and the card I've made:

Some more photo's:

I've shaded all my edges with Stormy Sky and Black Soot distress inks from Ranger and inked it with a DewDrop Brilliance Lightning black ink pad.
I've lifted the flower petels a bit by adding a small piece of foam tape underneath each. I've put the pieces of foam tape quite far down at the bottom of the petals so that it does not show and spoil the look of your flower.  I think the flower turned out very nice.  The die I've used is the Botanical Beauty Set by MFT.  I've added a Leaf Filled flourish (also by MFT) underneath the flower and rounded it off with a pearl in the centre of the flower.
The sentiment stamp is part of the Borderline set by Verve.
The patterned papers I've used are from KaiserCraft (Lavendar Haze Collection).
I've finished it off with three more pearls at the bottom.

That's my card for today.
Thanks for the visit and have a lovely Monday!

JUGS180 & CTS#19

Hi there again for today.

Nearly time to go to bed for me, but I want to post a card I've made this afternoon, first.  This is the first time that I have combined 2 challenges into one card.  The challenges I'm playing with are the color callenge over at JustUsGirls and the sketch challenge at CAS(E) this sketch.

I've made this card:

I've kept it very CAS and I love the orange and green color combination.

The stamps I've used are by Verve (VS-09-PJ016 & the Borderline set).
The dies are from MFT (Die-namics, Leaf-filled Flourish) and Spellbinders (nestabilities).
I've added a pearl to the centre of the flower.

I have really started to enjoy doing CAS cards now.

Thanks for the visit and I would love you to leave a comment!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and that you are ready for a week filled with creativity!!

To start my week off I'm posting my card that I've made with Friday's sketch at the VLV forum at Splitcoasstampers   The lovely sketch by Maureen looks like this:

At one stage I used to add big paper flowers to all my cards.  These flowers are available in the most lovely colors and vary in sizes.  For this card I have again used 2 of these flowers and I think they work perfectly here.  I've added a third flower in the centre to make a nice focal point.  Here's my card:

Some more photo's:

I don't work with blue very often, but I got these patterned papers at a local craft shop on Friday and I just had to make a card with it.

The supplies I've used for my card are the following:
Paper:  KaiserKraft (Lavender Haze Collection, P1104, P1107)
Stamp:  Verve (Wishing You set, vs-09-035,  Borderline set, vs-0172)

Just Us Girls #179

Hi again for today.

I'm back with my card for the JUGS#179 challenge for the week.  It's technique week and the challenge is to use a negative die.  I think I have only once before done something similar so it was a lovely challenge to see what I can come up with.

This is the card I've created:

Some more photo's:

I love this butterfly stamp by Kaisercraft and I've colored it with ordinary colored pensils.  I've die-cut the butterfly and adhered it to a bright blue background.
The outside panel with the negtive die-cut I've mounted on foam tape on the blue background panel and then everything was adhered to the card front.
I've added some pearls to make a nice frame around the butterfly.

The butterfly stamp is part of a set by KaiserCraft (Bonjour)

This card is very different from the cards I usually make, but I think I like it!  Hope you like it too!

Till next time.
Petra

Hi everyone.

First time I'm taking part in the challenge at CAS(E) this sketchThe sketch for challenge #18 looks like this:

I made this card following the sketch:

I've used a border punch by Upikit to do the scolloped border and added a strip of washi tape.  The sentiment stamp as well as the banner dies are from Verve and the cute little butterfly stamp is part of a set by Crafty Individuals.  I've added some rhinestones to round it off.

I do not do a lot of CAS cards, but I quite like how this one has turned out.  Hope you like it too!

S.O.U.S Little things

Hi everyone.

I have played along with the card sketch on the StuckOnUSketches blog again this week.  I love the sketch by Sandi Clarkson.  Here it is:

My card looks like this:

and here is another photo and a close-up of the stamped image and sentiment:

I just love this vintage pram and the sweet little sentiment that goes with it!  It is the itty bitty set by unity and simple stories.  My background panel is build up of 2 panels as in the sketch, but in the photo's it does not stand out very clearly.  I have used the front and back of a dp by MME and with the shading that I've done with distress ink, the two panels look like one in the photos.  IRL one can see that there are in fact two panels.

All the supplies that I've used are the following:

Paper:  MME (the sweetest thing, #ST1075, #ST1081)
Ink:  Versafine onyx black
Ranger distress ink (Antique linen, Walnut stain)
Stamps: Itty bitty set by unity and simple stories
Satin Ribbon
Pearls

This is the first time I have used this stamp set and I had a lot of fun creating this card!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy crafting
Petra
