I've got two cards I want to post tonight. First up is the card for the current sketch challenge over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
Here is the sketch:
and this is the card I have made following the sketch:
I've used a manila tag and some vellum on my card. I've got a layer of vellum covering the tag and I've stamped the leaf on vellum as well. I've used my Versamark pad to heat emboss the leaf first with white EP and then stamped it again and heat embossed again with some clear, glittery EP. The leaf has got a bit of a sparkle which can't be seen in the photos.
The leaf stamp and die are from the 'Turning a new Leaf' set by PTI.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.
Added a twine bow, a clothes' peg and some rhinestones to finish it off.
My second card is for the current challenge over at the Fusion Challenge Blog.
I've used the photo as the inspiration for my card:
The small pieces of dp are from the 24/SEVEN range by Simple stories.
I've done the coloured panel with 3 different Distress Inks.
The leaf stamps are from the 'Turning a new Leaf' set by PTI. The star stamp is part of a free X-mas gift set I got with a magazine very long ago.
The letters I've cut with a Tim Holtz alphabet die and I've done them with 4 layers of cs for dimension.
The squares are adhered to the card base and the coloured panel is on foam tape.
The little wooden heart embellishment was a gift from my dear friend, Angela Bode.
That will be all for tonight - thanks for popping in - hope to see you again soon!!
