HLS CAS challenge, FMS#198, PP#256, CAS on Sunday #64
Hi everyone!!!!
Joining a few challenges tonight!!!
The Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge for August is all about masking.
This is my card:
The daisy stamp is from Verve. Enlarged it on a photocopier to make the masks.
Used Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade DI's for my sponging.
Given my daisy some shine with my WOS brush and 3D Clear Gloss. (Really looks lovely IRL!!)
Sentiment banner dies from Verve.
To keep it more CAS I did not use any foam tape.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.
I've also made a card to link at the sketch challenge over at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.
Here's my card:
Sentiment and image stamp from KaiserKraft.
BG stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Rounded it off with black plastic dots.
Last one is a square card to link at The Paper Players Blog where it's a 'Hip to be square' challenge.
I will also link this card at the CAS on Sunday Blog where the theme for the week is 'Travel'.
This is my card:
The Eiffel Tower stamp is from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Daisy, leaf and flourish dies from MFT.
Given my daisies some shine with my WOS brush.
Sponging done with Scattered Straw DI.
Sentiment computer generated.
That's it for now!!! Thanks for spending some time with me - your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!

Thank you for all the sweet comments on my blog! I love to read them, especially because they are in South African. Although I can't speak South African, I can read it and understand it!
I love your cards!! The square card with the Eiffel Tower image is amazing, fantastic sponging and great design! Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players, hope to see you again soon!
Your masking is so beautiful Petra!! Way to use the computer to blow up the flower for the masks... What a great creative idea!! I love the color combination and there is your beautiful signature black done so well Petra. Your clean crisp lines are enough to inspire anyone esp. me.. Thank you for all your kind comments too.. I really do appreciate it.
Your thanks a bunch sentiment is so creative with those traditional bunch of flowers. The staggered scallop edge move your up the up the card then down again.. I love this card..
The Bon Voyage card is so CAS and beautifully done. The one flower escaping from the black border is pretty.. I can't even say enough about your work Petra.. Thank you!!

Your Bon Voyage card is just too wonderful!!
Three amazing cards Petra! LOVE how you've created masked for adding layers to your beautiful flower. So clever. Thanks for playing along at Happy Little Stampers.
Three amazing cards. Such a clever idea how you made the masks for the first card and love how you've positioned the greeting in the second card. Karen x
WOW! You have been busy Petra my friend! I love the way that flower in the first one appears to just radiate from the centre like that and you are very clever to enlarge the image by photocopying . . . inspired!! The take on the FMS is fabulous, bright and fresh and the CAS design on the 'Bon Voyage' card is stunning in it's simplicity!! Gorgeous, gorgeous . . . gorgeous!! Have a fabulous weekend coming up! Hazel xx
Ek was vroeër vanoggend gou hier om jou mooi foto's vir my man te wys. Hy besluit toe daar en dan ons moet Kaap toe trek... hy wil ook n berg as uitsig hê!
O ja... en hy sê jy maak mooi kaartjies!
Waarmee ek natuurlik saamstem!
3 meesterstukke!

Have a wonderful day,

Look at you going for 3 today! I love the little additions you do for your cards -- that thank you stamped around the panel - brilliant! It balances out your card perfectly! I sure would love to meet and stamp with you! I could pick your brain on how you come up with these fabulous cards! :)
Pretty darn brilliant to photocopy and enlarge the daisy to create masks, I'd say. Love the sparkle and shine on them, and those colors...oh how lovely!! Your second card is just plain fun! Love those flowers, and the creative use of the borders. And I will be using your idea of sentiment placement one of these days soon. That's so clever!! Beautiful third card, too. The inking to fade in the corner is lovely. Maybe we should all meet up at the Eiffel Tower someday....it would most definitely be a "Bon Voyage!!" Have a great weekend. Bev
Fantastic Petra-style cards! I especially love the masking in your first card!
Wow--The cards just kept coming and coming. Love all three. Brilliant way to make masks on your first card. Why didn't I think of that. The effect is wonderful. And I love the way yout did the sentiment on your pretty and happy 2nd card--also the way you flip floped your center piece--very clever. Love the simplicity and the subtle shading of your last card. Hope your weekend is going well.
Wow, Petra! I love the masks you created on the first card. I never would have thought of doing that! And the other two are beautiful as always! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Sjoe jy was omtrent besig. Hou baie van die oranje wat jy in al drie pragtige skeppings gebruik.
Wens jou n vrolike Vrouedag toe hierdie Sondag.
Mooi bly
