Mojo Monday #410, CTS#135 & CASology#158

Hi everyone!!!

Haven't played at the Mojo Monday Blog for a few weeks.  Here's Julee's lovely sketch:

And my card:

The pieces of patterned paper are from KaiserCraft.
Flower done with vellum and white cardstock.  Die from MFT.
Black leaves die from Verve.
Watercoloured leaves from PTI.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

I've also made a card to link at the sketch challenge over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
The sketch:

and my take on it:

Bicycle stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Sponging done with DI's.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

My last card is one to link at the CASology Blog where the code word for the week is 'Precious'.

This is my card:

I was thinking in the line of pets and friends and combined the two in my card.
The stamp is a digi from cre8tive-hands.blogspot.com
First time I've worked with a digi.  So enjoyed colouring it with my DI's.
The patterned paper is from Prima Marketing.

Before I go I would like to share this photo with you.  My DH and one of the boys were working in the compost heap, when they came across these little fellas.  They're not mice, they're insectivorous screws and they won't come into the house for bread or peanut butter!!!  They are nearly fully grown and will hopefully survive.  Aren't they just so cute!!!

OK, I'm off for now!!!!  Thank you so much for visiting!!!

Three absolutely lovely cards Petra. Love your first monochrome card - fits perfectly with the sketch. The bike is so cute on the coloured background and I adore those "precious" pets and the sentiment. Made me go "ahhhhhh"!

Three beautiful cards Petra for these three challenges. I love the neutral shades you have used for the first with the pretty flowers and circular frames, and the second with the bicycle over the masked inked circle in those lovely bright colours and the sentiment placed over the stamp by leaving part of the stamp uninked is a great design idea. The last is so cute with the dog and cat and the curved dotted lines and the cutest of sentiments. Love your colouring with DI's too. x

wow! three great cards today, Petra! So glad you are able to warm up your craft room sufficiently to play. Your Mojo Monday card is fantastic! Love those open circles you always seem to use so successfully - and this card truly weaves in the geometric side of nature with a touch of human footprint with the words. I especially like all the "rounds" of your card, right down to the sentiment!

The masking in your bike card is beautifully done as well!

Oh! And the dotted background paper looks fantastic with these two little fur friends - the sentiment is beyond sweet! Always enjoy glimpsing your mountains in the background, too.

The photo of the insectivorous shrews are really sweet! I did not know they would be happy with the foodstuffs found outdoors! We enjoy cultivating the wildlife here - especially the helpful snakes that keep the poisonous snakes away.

Keep warm, and enjoy your crafting! hugs, de

Hi Petra!!! I love your CTS card and how you've put your own wonderful 'spin' on it - forgive the pun! I'll be sharing your photo with my husband, who is ever the nature shutterbug... though I'm not sure if he'd welcome these guys to his own compost heap! I love when you visit, but never know if my responses get back to you as your email address is 'no reply'? Give me a sign, please?

Hoi Petra,
Groetjes,
GerJanne

Your cards are all so beautiful...especially loving the mojo sketch card and the friends card! Your furry little outdoor critters are something new to me. Very much thought they were mice which I'm not a fan of - lol!

A terrific trio of cards, Petra! Your first one in the more muted tones is just wonderful, and that layered vellum flower is really pretty. Great take on the sketch. Awesome colors on your CTS card, and I love the masked off panel for your sentiment. That was so darn clever!! I haven't used a digi in a couple three years, but this image makes me want to go and check out my files! How sweet are these two bffs?! Great coloring too! Thanks for sharing your wildlife photo. I love seeing nature in our backyards. We have foxes who den in the bluffs along the lake and I saw one of them yesterday morning. So cool!! Have a great week. Bev

Love the first card and the awesome layout that you created. Love the second card and the glorious display of beautifully blended ink and tons of white space. The third card...well my goodness girl...I actually sighed out loud (at my desk, at work!) when I spied this creative piece of sweetness! Adore it!

And the wee little critters - sweet as ever too!

Hi Petra, I came by to thank you so very much for all your lovely comments about my cards and my blog. I really appreciate you taking the time to have a look at my work and let me know what you think. Now its my turn to do the same!! Firstly, you must have the most beautiful backdrop to your cards I've ever seen! Mine is my bedroom wall, how very boring.... And your cards are so clean, modern and crisp in design. They are stunning and your colouring skills are incredible. So you too have a new follower! And lastly, those little shrews are so adorable. I remember when we were little that my Dad had to move our compost heap. He found a nest of baby mice and one of baby hedgehogs. The hedgehog babies were the cutest things ever and I still love seeing them to this day. So now we won't miss any more of each other's creations and I can admire that view from your home on a regular basis!!

Hello, Petra!!! Sorry, it's been awhile since I popped by. Kids are back in school now, and life is taking on a different rhythm so here I am!!! They are all fabulous cards!!! I love the circle layers on the first one! Clever sponging on your CTS card! Love it! Your last card IS PRECIOUS!!! What cute friends!!! Love the stitch lines!!! So fun to pop by! Hope you are well!!

Wow, have you ever been busy creatively. I'm loving #1 for all the patterns, shapes & that flower is so pretty with the combination of the vellum & c/stock petals. Love your sponging on #2 with the cute bike - & also the way you've done the circle motif as an 'edge'. The digi card was great too, and I liked the stitching lines treatment. It certainly set off the digi most creatively. Well done on each of these great cards! TFS & Hugs.

What a post! It started off with an elegant gorgeous sparkly stunner and then - WOW! That masked bike was Freaking cool! Every time I try to mask it winds up a hot mess so I'm jealous. And then your puppy dog card - soooooo cute!

I'll begin by echoing Shona: the background to your photos is simply stunning. You obviously live in paradise! Such a fabulous take on the Verve sketch (that had me running in the other direction), with images and neutral colours that are so striking. Your second card: swooning! My husband and I are involved with road, cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing (both as officials and he, sometimes, competes. I do NOT compete...no way!) so I have a soft spot for this fabulous image, and its beautiful sponging. Your third: precious in every way! So incredibly happy in coming for a visit here! Thank you!
Hugs~c

I see a bit of spring in the background to your cards.. I think the weather will be warming soon in our part of the world . Very hard to choose a favourite card to day but think it might be the bicycle one as I love the colours behind the wheel. Those shrews are cute but I am glad they are in your garden and not mine !
