CTS#72

Hi everyone.

Two weeks since I've done my last post, but yesterday I took the time to make a card again.  I followed the sketch over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Blog and made this card:

I have drawn the lines with a black fineliner.  The 'Winter rose' die is from MFT and the stamped and die-cut leaves form Verve.  The Afrikaans sentiment says 'Congratulations'.    Added a twine bow and some rhinestones and it was done!!  Quick and easy!

This is the sketch:

I have also made this card following the sketch, but it's not really a CAS card so I won't be entering it for the challenge.

Thanks for popping in and have a great weekend!!

I'm off to have a cup of tea!!
Kind regards.
Petra

A lovely card Petra. I adore the way you drew the lines and such a pretty flower die from MFT with the twine and nicely placed rhinestones. x

Sorry I forgot about the second card which is also very elegant with the lovely swirl and the flower on a piece of acrylic I think. Gorgeous background too. x

Love both cards Petra. The first card may be "quick and easy" but it is a winner. The second card is beautiful in its simplicity.

Hallo Petra, ek mis jou pragtige kaartjies, jy moenie so lank draai met nuwes nie! Albei kaartjies is pragtig maar die een met die geel blommetjie het my hart eerste gesteel. Ek hou van die tweede een se "grunge" voorkoms - baie mooi.
Groete,
Amelia

Oh my...just when I thought that nothing could compare to the card I just posted on...I scrolled down and found these two beauties! Beyond gorgeous! LOVE the hand drawn grid lines, the perfectly placed enamel dots and the pop of yellow!

I love how you used the sketch to layout your background, then layered the pretty leaft swirl and flower on top! Another subtle & elegant combination!

Petra, I'm behind in my visiting & commenting once again! But I'm enjoying my visit here today, seeing all these lovely flowers that you're decorating your beautiful cards with. Wow, on doing the lining on this card. You must have a very steady hand. This is wonderful, and really shows off that bright yellow flower. Just beautiful. TFS & Hugs

Oops--forgot to comment on #2. I'm lovin' this vellum look you have going on this card too.(have to keep the post in front of me as I type the comment, or I forget what I saw! LOL). The inchies were an inspired layout design with the bold black of the leaf flourish and the black pearls. Great scallop trimming and of course I'm loving your embossed vellum flower. You do wonders with vellum, my friend. Two very beautiful cards. TFS

Petra, this is so beautifully detailed. I must remember to use vellum. I keep forgetting about it when I am stamping. Lovely card!
