Hi everyone!!!
Boy, we had a hot day today!!! At the moment it has cooled down a bit and it's lovely outside. We are going to have a lovely evening - hubby and I will go for a long walk after supper to enjoy the summer evening!!!
The first card I want to share is one I made using the current sketch over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.
This is the sketch:
and my take on it:
Bg done with drywall tape and watercolours.
Sentiment stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Three hand punched flowers and some black plastic dots complete the picture.
The next card I've made is for the Cat Lovers' Blog Hop. If you love cats as much as I do you would want to hop over to Janis at Her peaceful Garden and join in the fun!!! Tomorrow, 29 October, is International Cat Day!!! I got to know about this hop on my friend, Kitty's Blog.
So this is my card:
The sweet image is a free digi I got from Sliekje's Blog. She has really got a lot of lovely cat (and other) digi's.
I did the colouring with coloured pencils. I haven't got any fancy colouring pens - maybe Santa feels like dropping some down the chimney on Christmas Eve!!!!
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Happy Christmas'.
And then I've made a card just for fun!!! This time I used a digi that the sweet Monika Reeck sent me!!! A friend of her drew this lovely Santa image!!! You can buy Santa at Monika's Etsy shop.
I had such fun colouring Santa!!!
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Happy Christmas'.
The last two cards are so different from what I usually do, but I enjoyed moving a bit out of my comfort zone!!!
Thank you so much for popping in!!!! Your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!

Wonderful cards, Petra! I especially love your fabulous take on the CTS sketch!
Love your idea of stenciling through the drywall tape. It's beautiful, and what a brilliant idea! Must try that (as DH bought me some of this tape after seeing some of your fab work here). Enjoyed seeing your stamped cards (didn't remember you doing images like this before, and you're expert at this as well!) Wonderful coloring too. Lucky you to have such an artistic friend to draw this great Santa for your superb coloring. You are so amazing! TFS & Hugs.

One of these days I am going to get some drywall tape so that I can make gorgeous cards like you!
I'm definitely going to have to find my drywall tape after seeing your card! I think I put it back in the work room.... You've got a trio of wonderful cards, Petra. LOVE the first one, and that little kitty in the Christmas stocking is as cute as can be. And what a fun Santa! These are all just wonderful! Bev
Hello Petra!!
I first want to say thank you so much for all your encouraging comments on my blog.. Your art is so inspiring and to hear your words makes be believe I may be doing something right... thank you..
Now to you!
The thank you card is well... well.. captivating really.. The blues and greens you used are just fantastic around all the white space. Which by the way you are brilliant at doing.. But what makes this pop is your signature black!! So graphic and mixed with the scripty sentiment made for a beautiful design!!
I have seen a ton of your work on winner boards my friend!! I can certainly see why.. Take care and hopping around your blog a bit more before bed.
Love all three of your cards Petra. Excellent thank you card. Love the simplicity. You did a beautiful coloring job on the next two cards. All three are winners. Bravo.
Hugs and Blessings

Wow you have been busy Petra. The watercoloured dry wall tape is a fantastic idea and the strips of black have kept the design true to the original sketch. The pencil colouring on the next two is lovely and that cat in the sock is so cute and an original idea for Santa in his designer jacket, makes a change from the norm. Hope you have a lovely weekend. x
Petra, what lovely cards!
The first one is such a beautiful take on the sketch.
The black sure makes the colors pop.
Your kitty and Santa cards are so cute, Petra ... and what a pretty take on the sketch ... always love your use of dry wall tape ... so deliciously texture-y! Hugs, Anita :)
Swooning over your first card; the drywall adds such delicious texture and the colours are gorgeous! Your kitten: cuter than cute! And your Santa is a delight! A trio of terrific, my friend!
