Flower and sentiment stamps by Altenew.
Dragonflies hand punched.

I've also made a card to link at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.
This is what the sketch looks like:

This is my card:

Flower and leaves stamps and dies from Altenew.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

Thanks for spending some time with me today!!!

Hi Petra, I just love how you use these graphic shapes to create the design for your cards. Loved both of these - with the softer pastels on #1, and the more vivid layers of color on #2. Using the triangle shapes created such a pleasing overlay on the white background, then tucking in the flower atop them. Ditto on #1 with the pretty flowers in the background, the bold black stripe and the delicate little dragonflies. You must be a graphics artist- you certainly have an eye for combining these shapes & colors! TFS & Have a terrific week. Hugs

Hey there dear friend! It is so nice to see that you have been spending some time creating, allowing us to delight in your beautiful creations! Love how you mixed graphic images with the soft, swirly petals of the flowers! The damsel flies are the perfect choice! NICE pop of golden yellow too :)

Your second card had my heart smiling when I saw the graphic shapes, paired with some stripes, dots and a graphic, yet soft floral image! GREAT colors!

Thanks for your e-mail the other day. I'm hoping to sit down this evening for a nice long reply e-mail chat :)

LOve your shapes, Petra!!! Gorgeous and really can share the spotlight alongside your beautiful flowers! Now did you use dies to cut these, or just your creative wizardry? xx

Hello, Petra! You leave the sweetest comments on my blog! Thank you so much - they are very heart warming! Your cards are so beautiful! I love the three circles and the three triangles. So creative and I would not think to do this! What wonderful inspiration I am finding here!

I want to mention to you that I have been a big fan of yours for many years but did not know about your blog. When I was able to work, I had subscriptions to "Take Ten" and "Stampers Sampler." I would look at your cards over and over, and I had post-it notes on your pages as I wanted to make cards just like yours! I really enjoy your style! I am so happy I found your blog so I can continue to be inspired! Thank you!

Circles and triangles--love them both. It's like being in a combo art/geometry class over here on your blog. Two wonderful designs. Any happy mail from me arrive yet?

Ooh, gorgeous! I love those circles and I love those triangles! These are fantastic designs!!

Okay I am not much a triangle kind of person.. I seem to gravitate toward circles myself but WOW-WEE is this card incredible.. You do such a good at graphic layouts and let me tell you this is no exception!! I am going to sound a bit artsy malarky right now but the movement of the triangles is so well done!! Also this may sound weird but the sentiment ties the entire card together.. The 'V' is perfect for this design for obvious reasons.. I love this card!!

I am not kidding when I say this card stunned me it was so beautiful!! And I hope you got that card out of the way before the storm in the background. Anyway, The color you used is so pretty mixed in with the maize color.. And here you are again with your black.. You seriously do a fantastic job with such a dominate color. The dragonflies..Oh those glorious dragonflies with just the right embellishment... I adore this card and let me give you my address so you can send it to me... Seriously the recipient is going to want to frame this!! Love it, love it, love it my friend!!

Love the open circles with your gorgeous flowers, and the dragonflies..oh my! Perfect special touch! The triangles are also incredibly striking; dramatic, bold, stunning! You've sure navigated your way through these sketches with style and flair! WOW!
