FMS#220, TimeOut#48 and SSDTTT#2

Hi everyone!!!

It's very late allready, but before I go to bed, I've got two cards to share!!!

First up is my take on the sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.  This is what the sketch looks like:

and my card:

I've done the bg with Milled lavender DI and Grape Jelly Dye ink from MFT.
Daisy stamp from Verve.  Leaf stamp and die from PTI.
Purple daisy stamped on Grape Jelly cs from MFT.  Coated with WoS and given some extra shine with 3D Clear Gloss.  IRL it's got a lovely shine.
Added a twine bow and purple sequins and black plastic dots.

I will also be linking this card at the Time Out Challenge where we are to CASE this card of Marika Rathu.

My second card is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge#2.at the Stamping Smiles Designs Blog.

I made this card using the elements in the top row:

                                                 Snow     -    Glitter    -    Trees

Tree stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Used a white gel pen to add some snow to the trees.
The snow at the bottom is fine white glitter I got at a stationary shop.  It's got a lovely sparkle that can't be seen in the photo.
Added a piece of silver twine.

Quite a few of you asked how I've done with my stall at our Farmers' Market and I keep on forgetting to tell you.  Unfortunately I did not sell a lot of items and the weather was not good either - it rained at times!!!!  But I'm OK with that!!!  I've got an order for four of the lamps I made, which I have to deliver tomorrow.  And I was surprised that my cards were my best selling items!!!!  At the end of this year I might take a stall at a local church's Xmas market where I think sales would be much better.  I've got some time to think about it and make up my mind if I want to do it!!!!!

Past 12, so I'm off to bed!!!

Thanks for popping in and have a great week!!!!

Thanks for sharing how you did at the craft market, Petra! Now you know CERTAINLY that your cards are amazing if that was your best seller! Congratulations! Sorry to hear that the weather did not cooperate. That must have been disappointing. Lovely Christmas card, too! But it is you eye-catching sketch card that really grabs me! I'm always wowed by your combination of geometrics and nature! Hope your week is extra special, Miss Petra! Hugs, de

WOW these are just fabulous Petra my friend!! Both are very different, but equally as fascinating!! The first one has your signature, terrific, knack of CAS layering and the second just leaps up with that dark panel and that big, beautiful, word die-cut!! I love what you have done with the trees with the gel pen and that glitter snow is just stunning! I bet it looks even more fabulous IRL (glitter always does).

So sorry that the Farmers' Market didn't go as well as you'd have hoped (and as well as I had hoped for you) but I am not surprised that your cards were your best selling items as they are so amazing!! Next time, hopefully, the weather will be better and more people will get to see all your wonderful creations, and I just know, you will then do amazingly well!!

Have a lovely week my friend! Hazel xx

Fantastic cards Petra. I especially love the first one. The flow of this card is just perfect... from the flowers in the background to the twine... and water colored background. You inspired me to make a card today and I pretty much CASE'd your card! So thank you girl! Thanks for the up-date on the marker you did. I think it's different every year... one year you might sell your cards, but next they will want gift items... the rain must have not helped! Glad you got an order out of it!

Oh WOW! #1 is just another stunner. Love how you translate the inspiration into your own unique, beautiful style. I really like this one! And #2 is a bit different for you, but equally amazingly lovely. The color shades blend together so well, for such a winter feel, and the 'snow' on these trees shows splendidly. I like the way you've done the perspective with the trees and also the snowhill. Doesn't surprise me at all to learn your cards were good sellers! Shows your customers had great taste indeed! TFS & Hugs

What a cool and deliciously shimmery snow scene, Petra! Your purple bloom is beautiful ... gorgeous against the soft watercolour and that fabulous twirly twine! So happy to have you playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)

PS ... thanks for sharing about the market ... I'm not at all surprised your cards went so well ... they're stunners ... each one!

These are both so beautiful. Love how you did up that upper left corner on your first card--so very pretty, and the flowers stamped in the background is a great little subtle touch. And, your glittery and snowy trees are wonderful too. Glad to hear that you sold lots of cards at your show. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.

A gorgeous card so beautifully designed Petra and is a wonderful CASEing of Marika's pretty card, and your beautiful trees and glittery snow in those non-traditional colours work fabulously. x

First of all don't get discourageD with the craft sale. I did 'the circuit' with my dad for many years. One sale goes really well, the next one could be disappointing. The demographics of the 'buying crowd' is beyond your control. Always remember - YOUR STUFF IS AWSEOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!

Speaking of awesome...yep, your cards are exactly that! Your cleverness in using partial petal edges along the edge of the card is genius! Love the soft lavender water color wash!

Geri said...

Oooops! Me again....hit the post button before I commented on your snow card!

Speaking of snow...you want some? I'll share. We have tons now thanks to a huge dump of snow over the weekend! Warm weather usually accompanies the snow, so it is definitely a trade-off! Stunning tree images, beautifully adorned with snow and an icy road! Love the blod pop of white from the sentiment :)

Two beautiful cards! Love the inky background and floral stamping on the first card and such a beautiful CASE of the featured card! The second card really appeals to me as it's the middle of winter here! Your trees are gorgeous! Love how you offset the dark panel! Thanks for sharing how you did with your craft stall - sounds like it was a success to me! Well done on the lamps and cards!
