FMS#229

Hi everyone!!!!

Hope you all had a very lovely Easter weekend!!!!  Our weekend ended up being a very busy one so I'm doing this post which I planned to do on Saterday morning, only now on Monday evening!!!

On Friday morning my BIL, who is staying over at my MIL, invited us to go for an outing over the mountain to have some pizza's with them, at a farm stall.  We enjoyed pizza for an early lunch, spent some time at the farm stall and then traveled back to George and then continued further eastwards to a lovely coffee shop next to the road to have some coffee!!!  Spend some time there, too and we had such an enjoyable time when we got home again it was past three in the afternoon!!!  It rained here in George on Friday and while we were on our outing, friends of ours' from Cape Town phoned to say that they were on their way to George for the Easter weekend and they suggested that we go on a hike on Saturday morning.  In the end they came to visit late Friday afternoon and stayed till rather late and we organized to go hiking on Saturday morning and have a picnic in the mountains.  They also said that we had to come over for a BBQ on Saturday night, at the guesthouse they we staying over.  And I also had to get everything ready as we were leaving on Sunday morning early to a friend of ours' on a farm more than 2 hours' drive from George!!!!  So Saturday was very busy and this blogpost that I planned to do, never happened and there was not time to do all the blogvisits I planned for Saturday afternoon!!!  We stayed over at the farm last night and came back late this afternoon!!!  We had a wonderful time at the farm and really relaxed a lot!!!!   So that was our very busy Easter weekend, but we really had a great time!!!!!

This post is for a card I made last week to link at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog!!!!  This is the sketch for the week:

and the card I made last week:

Rose and leaves stamps from PTI.  Stamped with Tattered Rose and Bundled Sage DIs.
Border stamp from Altenew.
I was so happy when I discovered some glitter paper at a local stationary shop last week!!!!  I've added strips of the grey glitter paper to my card.

I will be popping in and visiting blogs tomorrow and during the rest of the week - I'm almost a week behind on visiting!!!!  (that's if the kids don't want to play 'The Long Dark' on my computer!!!!!)

Nearly cut-off time at FMS - have to be off!!!!

Thanks so much for popping in!!!!

So pleased to hear you had such a wonderful Easter weekend Petra my dear friend!! We had a mixed weekend, the weather was appalling, very mixed, torrential rain one minute, gales force winds, hail the next minute and sunshine the next!! But, there was a huge ray of sunshine, my darling stepdaughter gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Easter Monday . . . even better than receiving a choccy egg eh?

I LOVE your card BTW, one of your usual stunners my friend!! Have a wonderful week! Glad to see you back! Hazel xx

So pleased you had such a lovely time for Easter and spent it with people you care about. Sounds like lots of bonding & eating, which is my cup of tea! This is definitely a higher priority than blogging, crafting!!! Your card is - as always - lovely. I like your take on the sketch, and the way you've softened the graphic shape of the triangle with the delicate & so pretty roses. It's one of your best (Yes I know I always say that!!) TFS & Hugs

I love how you always photograph your cards with the mountains in the background. It makes such a lovely 'frame' for your cards! And speaking of lovely...this card is beyond that. It's downright beautiful. LOVE those roses, and the triangle they sit upon. Just gorgeous. Bev

When I was finished with this sketch I completely thought of you with the black highlights and very graphic.. I thought 'Petra must be with me in spirit'.. then I saw your card and onice again was in awe.. your flowers are amazing and your graphic outline is brillant. I am so intimated by triangles but you have always dealt with them so well.. okay hopping along to your posts...
