PPA298, ATCAS#87, Muse#163 &TimeOut#55

Hi, everyone!!!

I've got two cards to share this evening!!!
First up is a card for the sketch challenge at the Pals Paper Arts Blog.

PPA-298-Apr28

This is the card I've made following the sketch:

Flower stamps and dies from PTI.

The second card I made I will be entering at three challenges:  Addicted to CAS, Muse, and Time Out.

Grab Our Badge!
Celebrations with optional twist of die cutting/fussy cutting

This is my card:

I've embossed the bigger Gerbera on the card front using my Cuttlebug and the die and my rubber mat.  I've die cut the same Gerbera from the plaid paper and adhered the plaid paper with the cut out daisy to correspond with the embossed daisy.  I then die cut the smaller Gerbera and adhered it to the card front on the bigger embossed Gerbera.  Hope that makes sense!!!
Gerbera die from MFT.

I've also got a few more photo's I've taken today, to share:

That will be it for now - thank you so much for popping in!!!!!

I love the plaid with that large daisy Petra and the white on black sentiment strip coordinates beautifuly with the centre of the flower, and your photos are fabulous and the detail you have captured is wonderful. I love the first with the distant mountains, looks so beautiful there, and the close up shot of the flame coloured leaf. You obviously have a good eye for an interesting shot. x

Both your cards are beautiful! I especially love how you framed the first card, once with a solid background and once with a window frame. Lovely and unique! Thank you for inspiring me!

Love the plaid, and the embossing treatment, adding over the die gerbera is such an interesting treatment, and so pretty! Really a stunning card. Also loved #1 with the dark rectangles showing off the pretty flowers, and back again with the graphic framing! So lovely too. You are really excelling with the photography. You definitely have an eye for wonderful compositions. The color is so brilliant, and enjoyed all of these, but the old church is just simply inspiring. The intense blue of the sky was captured well, ditto the gorgeous red color of the leaf. Well done in both your passions! TFS & Hugs

Hi Petra, twee hele mooie kaarten.
Lieve groetjes Miranda

You've nailed the PPA sketch perfectly; this card is amazing!!! Madly in love with the sponged blue background and those rose stems. Gorgeous card!!! What you've done with the plaid and the daisies is impressive! The inlaid, embossed technique is pretty darn amazing, and the results are just wonderful. Your photos are beautiful. If these are taken near your home, then you are certainly blessed with stunning vistas and flora. I know you're in SA, so it must be getting cooler there about now. Hope all is well with you. Bev

Both are beauties but especially love the first one! The background looks airbrushed but maybe you sponged it? Enjoyed all your photos! Love the old door! Your corner of the world is especially gorgeous!

First to your gerbera daisy card with the inlaid die.. Oh what a gem Petra.. I am very partial to these flowers because I used them when I got married for me and my bridesmaids.. So simple and elegant and adds a special place in my heart.. Again I saw this sketch over at PPA and thought 'now what can you do with this?' Well you have artfully and delightfully answered my question.. Your signature black works very effectively here.. The inverse allows your eye to move all over the card and not just one element.. Your inverse technique is even showing with your enamel dots.. Your subtle blue surrounding is just the icing on the cake (or card, HA!).

Both cards are amazing, Petra, but I'm drawn to the second card with the awesome layering of the gerbera and the gingham. Thanks so much for linking up at TO! Hugs!
