FMS#269

Hi everyone!!!!

Nearly one o'clock in the morning, but before I'm off to bed I want to share a card I've made for the current sketch up at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog!!!!!!  This is the lovely sketch by Linda:

I've flipped the sketch on it's side and made a landscape card.

I absolutely LOVE these flowers from CAS-UAL FRIDAYS Stamps!!!!  Coloured it with my GraphIt pens.
The flowers that aren't coloured were stamped on the card front using grey ink.  The smaller, coloured flowers were stamped in black, die cut and adhered to the card front.  The bigger flower is on foam tape, as is the sentiment strip.
Piece of silver mirror card and a blue glitter paper strip at the bottom.
Some rhinestones to add sparkle.

I can hear my bed calling loud and clear!!!!!

So lovely having you here - thanks for the visit - hope to see you again, soon!!!!

Gorgeous card Petra ... and wonderful take on the sketch. Love the shine from your foil strip. And the flowers are awesome. So much dimension from layering them on top of your base. Unique design with some flowers coloured and some left white ... so very creative!! xx

These flowers are beautiful Petra and I love the way you have combined the outline ones with some coloured die cut ones and then popped one up for added impact, and then the shiny and glittery strips with the white on black sentiment on top. Definitely a winning design in my book. x

Very lovely, Petra. There's a beautiful sense of calm in this card. Not exactly soft, but just so very soothing to see. Your coloring of those blooms is delightful, and those blues are rich and deep. I think you've nailed the sketch, and this card is just fabulous. Have a great week. : ) Bev

Happy New Year, Petra. So lovely to have a visit from you, and I zipped over to enjoy this beautiful card. I really like the floral images. It reminds me of the Dutch Folk Art that used to be done on some of the Pennsylvania furniture from years ago. I like the way you've left some of the image uncolored, very stylistic, and I also admire the way you've made the sketch quite your own design. It's a gorgeous card, very classy.

I hope you & your family had a wonderful holiday season. I know you get busy with many other crafts, so it's nice to be back in touch with you. I don't have such good excuses, just not keeping up as well as should be. Thanks for your comment on the cardinal in the snow. Had I your awesome photography skills, I would have been able to capture the red fellas that would sit on the feeder. Alas, best I could do, was the little red one fluffing his feathers in the bush! TFS & Hugs.
