Inspiration File Challenge and a Christmas Card

Hi, everyone!!!!

As you can see in the post title I have made another card to link at the Inspiration File Challenge run by Kara Vrabel, on her blog, K and R Designs.  This time I have been inspired by a card from week#209 made by Lindsay and you can find it on her blog, Note to Self,  here.  This is Lindsay's card:

and my CASE of her card:

Stamps from Altenew.  I decided to colour my flowers and leaves with coloured pencils.
The die cut word was sent to my by a friend, very long ago!!!!  Thanks, Joyce - I've still got a few of the words you sent me, left!!!!

...and then I've also made a shaker Christmas card!!!!!
A special friend of mine, who will be known by most of you, Vicki Dutcher, from All I do is Stamp, sent me a Christmas card at the end of last year and she was so sweet to add a little envelope with some shaker mix, into the card's envelope!!!!!!  What a wonderful idea to make a Christmas card even more special to add such a sweet little gift!!!!!   I appreciated this thoughtful gift sooooooo much - no way I can find anything of the sort here in George - I would have to order it from overseas!!!!!  So to you, too, another great big,THANK YOU, Vicki!!!  I didn't put everything into this shaker, there's some more left for one or two future projects!!!!!!
So this is the first shaker card I have ever made with such great shaker mix:

Star dies from MFT.
Silver mirror card on the inside of the shaker and under the sentiment strip.
Sentiment computer generated.
I can't stop shaking the card and looking at the sweet little stars and sequins - the colours are so beautiful IRL - couldn't really capture it nicely in the photo!!!!!

So that's it for now!!!!  Lovely having you here - hope to see you again soon!!!!

Super mooie kaartjes! Ik vind de zwart witte heel chique. De shakerkaart is ook geweldig. Mooi om de rand van de ster er gedraaid op te plakken.
Ik hoop dat mijn post toch ook binnenkort bij je aan komt.

Both cards are gorgeous and you have shared another fabulous challenge with me! I didn't know about the Inspiration File! very cool! I love your take on Lindsay's card! I love how you made it a little more bold with the dark borders and the colored in leaves and flowers. Beautiful!!! Your Shaker card is such fun. I am so very sad. My first shaker card ever went to my mother last week but it never made it to her house. Apparently someone else ended up with it. :(

Two classic beauties, subtle colors, cool bits of bling, lovely dimension, flawless & perfectly balanced designs...AND a shaker card element that is out of this world (as in the 'stars') amazing! Your talent truly is never ending!

Two more WINNERS!!!

These are both so very stunning. Love them. I did get such a kick out of the fact that you are still using those die cuts I sent you ages ago. Guess it is time for me to send you some more when I get a chance.

A splendid CASE of the inspiration card, and I loved how you made the design your own with the dimensional die sentiment. Classy colors too. Super clever work on the Shaker Christmas card too!Love the way you've done the 'over' star with all the sparklies peeking through the aperture. Well done! TFS & Hugs

So I see your first card, and go, "ohhhhh, so pretty" in my head. The grays and blacks and whites are so elegant, and the flowers, branches and swirls are just lovely. I sigh, and continue to read your post. Then my eyes light upon your amazing shaker card. Now, you could have left off the top star, but no. You took your design to an even higher level and added just that right touch. These are two fantastic cards, my friend. I think you've got some winning entries here. Bev

This is another great CASEing of one of the Inspiration File cards Petra, and I love your white sentiment against the black border and the use of grey to colour the flowers and leaves, and the Christmas shaker is beautiful with all those brightly colours sequins and stars, and what a wonderful idea to twist the star frame at an angle. The silver mirri behind the shaker and as a border for the sentiment goes perfectly. x

Congratulations on your first shaker card! It's a beauty and I'm sure it won't be your last! Shaker cards are so much fun, don't you think? I love how you angled the stars and used such a colorful blend of sequins. How lucky you are to get such a gift!
