Have you ever tried making a card wearing only one of your contact lenses, cause the other eye has some infection, or allergic reaction, or whatever????? That was me last night!!!!! I've been feeling a scratchiness in my right eye since Saturday and on Sunday my eye was red and more scratchy, but I was still wearing both my lenses. Yesterday morning it was really bad and I decided not to put my lens in that eye and only wear the left lens!!!! I went to the chemist to get some eye drops to put in the eye and it's somewhat better this morning, but I'm still not wearing the right eye lens!!! My eyesight is very bad (-8 in the right eye!!!!) so you can imagine how blurry everything is when I'm not wearing both lenses!!!!! I have to sit with my nose nearly touching the computer screen to see what I'm typing!!!!!! LOL!!!!! That is such a big frustration, but hopefully by tomorrow my eye will be OK again!!!! I've actually taken out the left lens, as well now and it's much better than wearing only one lens!!!!
I found it very frustrating to do anything on the computer with only the one lens and I decided that I wanted to rather try making a card, last night!!!! I've made a card to link at three challenges!!!! At the Seize the Birthday Blog they have an optional topping of 'Vellum' and I've followed the sketch at the Fusion Card Challenge Blog, to make my card. And then there is a new challenge, Always Fun Challenges, that started their first challenge yesterday, and it's an 'Anything Goes' challenge.
Challenge #1
Our theme for the new challenge is
"Anything Goes"
This is my card:
The stamps I've used on this card has a story I want to share with you!!! I think most of you will know Lindsey Larson from Occasional Crafting. Well, Lindsey had some stamps and dies that she wasn't using anymore and she was so sweet to send me a LOT of these goodies and you can just imagine how very excited I was to receive Lindsey's parcel in my mailbox!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw all the stamps and dies Lindsey had sent!!!!!! So all the stamps I've used on this card was a gift from the very sweet Lindsey!!!!! Oh, and Lindsey also included some sequins and the ones on this card is a lovely yellowish green and I love it!!! Thank you so much again, Lindsey - I really appreciate you thinking of me when you wanted to find a new home for your lovely stamps and dies!!!!!!! There is a little 'thank-you-something' on it's way to you, my friend!!!!!
Butterfly die from PTI.
Vellum cut with Spellbinder's Wonky Rectangle die.
I hope there aren't any fingerprints or dirty marks on my card I didn't see!!!! And I had to trust the Auto setting on my camera to hopefully have the photo's in focus!!!!!
One thing regarding the Always Fun Challenges: I couldn't find anything in the rules regarding combining with other challenges, so I hope it's OK that I have combined with other challenges!!!!! If it's not allowed the DT can let me know and I will remove my card from the gallery!!!!
Apologies for the long post!!!!
Thank you so much for spending some time with me!!!!!

Oh my, that sounds horrendously painful sweet friend! I hope it heals soon! However, you have managed to make a fabulous job of the card! I LOVE how you split the sentiment by having one part on a flag and one part repeated as a border . . . genius! I also LOVE that big, bold, beautiful butterfly and the vellum die-cut! Stunning, you're back and on a roll my friend!! I've missed you! Have a lovely day and a great Easter weekend! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

Groetjes,Sylvia.
amazing card, petra and absolutely amazing that you were able to create such a beautiful design with all the eye problems you are having!! I hope that everything clears up soon!!
Very beautiful card ! ♥
Oh, this turned out beautifully!!! I adore how the birthday wishes goes across the whole card. The butterfly is wonderful. Oh, I just love it all. I'm so sorry about your eye. That sounds so painful. I don't know how you created such a beauty in this state. You are amazing!
Awesome one-eyed card ;) -- so fun with gifted supplies too. Also, thanks for joining in at STB!
Such a gorgeous card Petra and you've shown me a great way to use my wonky rectangle dies. Karen xxx 💕😊
Stunning card, Petra! Perfect example of layering without clutter. Thanks for playing along at Seize The Birthday :)
Groetjes,
GerJanne
Even with only one eye you still make the most beautiful cards! I hope that your eye gets better soon. I wear contacts too so I know how frustrating it is when you can't wear them for one reason or another.
How lucky can you get to receive such beautiful supplies...WOW! And, you have really created a GORGEOUS card, Petra! I love how you made the butterfly the star of the show, and your pop of color with the foliage and sequins are so perfect!
So sorry you're having a problem with your eye...I do hope it's resolved quickly!
Beterschap, xx Irene
A beautiful card!! Thanks for joining our challenge at Always Fun Good luck!!

Love the colours and the CAS design of your card, Petra. Thanks for playing with us at the FUSION card challenge and hope to see you again.
I can't even imagine crafting with one lens, given that I have -9.5 in eye and -10 in the other! And that poses problems with close up work, so I often wear my glasses, which are totally NOT stylish in any way (the lenses shrink my eyes...Yeesh!). And my glasses aren't bifocal (so expensive for new ones...) so we have the slide-down-the-nose thing happening. Double yeesh! Anyway...hope your eye heals soon! How fantastic to receive goodies from Lindsey; love hearing stories of crafty friends sharing with crafty friends. Your card that emerged as a result: gorgeous! You already know I'm swooning over the butterfly *grin* So glad you shared your creativity in the FUSION gallery!
Hugs~carol
Beautiful card love all the elements! hope your eye gets better soon! thanks for playing along with us at the Always Fun Challenges!

I'm sorry you have been suffering some eye infection/allergy problems Petra and hope they are soon better. I love the pretty leaves and die cut butterfly, and the piece of vellum goes beautifully over the top, and the sentiment border is just perfect. How kind of Lindsey to send you a lovely parcel of crafting goodies, and you have put these items to really good use. x
Hi Petra!!! Oh, your card is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! How blessed you are to have received such an amazing gift!! I do not know Lindsey, so I will have to go check out her work. Thank you so much for playing along with us for our very first challenge at the Always Fun Challenges blog. And yes, you can combine challenges. How is your eye doing, my friend?
Thanks so much dear friend for your sweet birthday wishes and all your lovely comments! I've missed you but know how busy you are with all your other talents, family, etc. I wore contacts for many years and had to give them up when pregnant with our 3rd child. They felt like boulders in my eyes and after a second doctor's opinion, I had to resort to glasses. My eyes were aging (aka drying up) and I didn't want to live with constantly using eye drops! Sigh. Hope your eye heals quickly, but it certainly didn't stop you from creating an AMAZING card!! Love your wonky vellum layer (making a mental note here) and the butterfly is such a gorgeous one!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing at Always Fun Challenges.

Woah Petra! This is outstanding! Oh I love the butterfly against the vellum and those amazing stamped and layered leaves! GORGEOUSNESS! Hugs, Autumn
Beautiful design as always Petra. :) You are a master at what I call "free style" collage. You always make the most beautiful combinations of elements. This butterfly card is gorgeous.
So sorry to hear about your eye problem. I hope it clears up soon. Take care. xx
Wow !!! Again another beautiful card!!! You did so well answering those 2 challenges!!!
You made this card only seeing with one eye?? This is GORGEOUS!!!! Hope your eye clears up soon :)
So lovely, Petra ... butterflies and vellum are such a fabulous, delicate combination ... you've used them to perfection here with that fresh stamped border! Lindsey is just the sweetest soul to send such wonderful goodies! Do hope you eye has healed and that you have a Joyeuses Pâques! Hugs, Anita :)
Lieve groetjes Miranda
Love all the layers on your card, very creative! It's always fun to use new (or new to you) goodies and how kind of Lindsay. I'm glad they arrived safely in the mail. I've stopped sending mail to SA or Zim as they just don't seem to reach their destination :(
