RS#152 and VLVFeb Week 1

Hi everyone!!!

Haven't taken part in the VLV sketch challenge for ages, but I'm joining in the fun again, over on the Viva la Verve Blog.  This is Julee's sketch for week 1 of February:

I've flipped the sketch on it's side and made this card:

Dp by KaiserCraft.
Flower and leaves stamps and dies from Verve.  Banner dies also from Verve.
Chevrons cut with Tim Holtz Alterations die from Sizzix.  Rings cut with Spellbinders nesties.
Used some dry wall tape, twine and sequins and pearls to complete it.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

Another challenge I haven't taken part in for a while is the sketch challenge over at the RetroSketches Blog.   This is the lovely sketch for the week:

This is the card I have made:

Dp from KaiserCraft.
Flourish die from MFT.  Ring and circle cut with Spelbinders nesties.
Daisy stamp from Verve.
Added a twine bow, some glitter, gold sequins and black plastic dots.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

That will be it from me for today!!!  Hope you had a lovely weekend and thanks for popping in!!!!

These are wonderful, Petra! Did you custom color the "deep plumbago" for your card to match the plant? LOL The purply-blue certainly is striking against your other shades! Wonderful geometric-Nature combination! (and same with the more delicate creation which you have "jeweled". Wonderful! hugs, de

Awesome mix of DP's! Everything totally 'works'! Love the soft coolness of the blue and grey card and the bold 'blockiness' of the black & white card with great pops of yellowish bling!

Big WOW on both these bold cards. Love how you've taken each of the sketches and totally made them your own. #1 really is a show-stopper with the layout, bright colors & your very own graphic designs that you do so well. Loved those hexagons on #2 and thought of soccer balls when I first glanced at the dp. A terrific combination of papers & designs. Well done!! TFS & Hugs
